About the Role: The CEO of Special Olympics Ireland will be responsible for leading the overall strategy, operations, and financial sustainability of the organisation. This includes running successful programmes of events, overseeing fundraising efforts, creating strong external partnerships, executing strategic plans, and achieving the organisation's mission and vision.
\Responsibilities: \\- Leadership and Strategy: Lead the organisation's vision, mission, and values, and develop and implement the strategic plan in collaboration with the management team and the Board of Directors. \\- Financial Management: Oversee financial resources, manage the budget, ensure financial stability, accountability, and transparency, and lead fundraising strategies to support programmes and initiatives. \\- Governance and Operations: Provide guidance and support to senior staff and programme directors, ensure risks are managed, and oversee the performance of key programmes and activities.
\Requirements and Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a CEO or in other senior managerial positions, strong financial and business acumen, familiarity with diverse business functions, and knowledge of the charity and sports sectors. They will be a strategic thinker with visionary leadership skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
