Software Engineering Director

This is a senior leadership role in which you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of software engineers. You will work closely with other leaders to establish engineering standards and best practices, influence strategic decisions, and build solutions in your area.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience in delivering software using agile development practices, as well as experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing people and teams across multi-functional disciplines such as software engineering, test automation, systems analysis, and scrum mastery.

You will also be expected to drive continual growth of team members and their knowledge areas, develop personal expertise to bring the latest thinking to empower others, and proactively partner with business and technology stakeholders to measure performance through established objectives and metrics and deliver agreed-upon business, technology, and people results.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years experience in delivering software using agile development practices
  • Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing people and teams across multi-functional disciplines
  • Strong technical proficiency with database technologies, large data platforms, and OOP
  • Experience with database technologies such as Snowflake, Oracle
  • Experience in Object-Oriented Software development with Java and/or Python
  • Experience with Spark (Java or Scala), use of AWS EMR as the infrastructure for execution
  • Experience in Cloud technologies (AWS), including Docker and EKS
