Catheter Development Specialist

This is a highly sought-after opportunity for an experienced engineer to drive the development of next-generation catheter-based medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical or mechanical engineering, with significant experience in global medtech environments.
The role involves leading end-to-end R&D activities for catheter systems, from concept through to design transfer. This includes ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 design control requirements, developing and reviewing technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting design verification and validation activities, supporting risk management processes, and mentoring junior engineers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in medical device development. They will work closely with a talented team of professionals to bring new products to market, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess:
- A degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 6-8+ years of R&D experience in the medical device industry, ideally with large global manufacturers
- Proven experience in catheter design and development
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of design controls and regulatory compliance
