Lead Production Assembly Team

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding a team of production operators through the assembly, testing and handling of products according to documented specifications and processes.

  • Ensure quality: The Production Team Leader is accountable for ensuring all products supplied to customers meet the highest possible quality standards and comply with specification requirements.
  • Achieve productivity targets: Working as part of the manufacturing team, the Production Team Leader must deliver the correct number of products in line with production plans communicated by supervisors.
  • Teamwork: All employees are part of a collaborative team committed to total customer satisfaction and will participate as a team member each day.

Responsibilities:

  • Output Target: Achieve hourly and daily targets.
  • Quality: Communicate quality issues daily and counsel/retrain operators on quality matters.
  • Teamwork: Participate as a team member each working day.
  • Induction of New Employees: Ensure new employees are "buddied up" during transition and familiarized with product, process, work instructions, DDS, etc.
  • Documentation: Ensure operators are aware of and adhere to relevant procedures.
  • Safety/Housekeeping: Be familiar with safety policy, ensure all PPE is worn, and employees follow all safety guidelines.
  • Communications: Conduct daily start-up meetings, actively support and facilitate team meetings, and ensure effective communications within own team and other sections of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced and heavily regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Results-driven & quality-conscious individual.
  • Sound understanding of Standard Operating Procedures, line documentation, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • High degree of initiative.
  • Assertive with good people skills.
  • Flexible/adaptable.
