Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Operations Leader to support the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day clinical and operational management of our nursing home.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to lead and supervise the delivery of person-centred, evidence-based nursing care.
- Evaluate clinical practices to ensure they meet current HIQA standards and implement improvements as needed.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Oversee infection prevention and control measures in line with updated HIQA guidance.
- Prepare for, respond to, and follow up on HIQA inspections and audits.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including risk registers, incident logs, care plans, and audit results.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and care staff, promoting continuous professional development.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and performance appraisals.
- Facilitate regular team meetings, clinical supervision, and reflective practice sessions.
- Promote dignity, autonomy, and choice for all residents in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Act as a key point of contact for residents and families, handling concerns or complaints professionally.
- Assist the Director of Nursing in strategic planning, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives.
