Medical Device Development Lead

This role offers a unique opportunity to spearhead the development of a ground-breaking medical device aimed at tackling blood loss during medical procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing and implementing mechanical design solutions for medical devices used by surgeons and healthcare surgical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate design inputs into engineering specifications and produce sub-system level designs
  • Develop and analyze solutions, prototyping one or more options to provide proof of concept
  • Apply fundamental and advanced concepts, practices and procedures for problem solving
  • Work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management teams to ensure project success

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or BioMedical with 4+ years of work experience
  • Technical ability to create engineering drawings and models, applying GD&T and CAE tools
  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design
