Prompt Trading Manager Opportunity

Lead a team in shaping the trading strategy, particularly as the UK offshore wind portfolio expands.

We seek a candidate with high potential to lead the team and deliver against business targets. The successful candidate will manage the team and contribute towards delivering financial targets.

The Prompt Manager will operate within the wider management team to deliver effective communications, teamwork, accountability, and key performance measures. This requires a customer-centric approach, leading engagement with stakeholders to grow and enhance the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act proactively in power and gas markets to continually optimise trading positions in prompt electricity markets.
  • Maintain and develop prompt trading systems and processes to ensure all traded positions are optimised and regulatory risk is managed.
  • Manage contracted trading services for the Inch Cape 1072MW offshore wind farm under construction.
  • Manage regulatory compliance and incident reporting across the team.
  • Engage positively with counterparties to foster collaborative relationships.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Electricity and Gas markets and associated commodity markets.
  • Good understanding of operational risk management in a Trading environment.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills at peer level and senior levels of the business and ability to deliver change.
