We are seeking a senior construction professional to lead our Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) team on-site in Cork. This role requires extensive knowledge of the construction industry, with a focus on delivering projects safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Responsibilities:- Review bids for E&I services and develop detailed execution strategies.
- Lead trade and industry knowledge reviews, ensuring the team stays up-to-date with the latest developments in the construction industry.
- Input into Construction Health Safety Plan (CHSP), Quality Assurance/Testing and all other General Construction Requirement documentation.
- Assist in schedule development and review, as well as lead Internal Audits and Progresses (IAPs).
- Provide input for the development of the E&I construction department, including improving execution procedures, liaising with the E&I Design department leads, and managing and developing E&I construction resources across the project.
- Ensure suitable personnel, plant, tools, temporary facilities, and other resources are provided to the construction phase.
- Manage subcontractors, focusing on safety, schedule, cost, and quality as primary deliverables.
- Engage with Design, Commissioning, and Client teams to ensure system turnovers meet scheduled milestones.
- Comply with construction methods, procedures, and practices, particularly those related to safety, quality assurance, personnel, and industrial relations; report deficiencies and suggest solutions.
- Understand the implications of Health and Safety at Work Act and Regulations as they affect employee responsibilities.
- Ensure projects are constructed to drawings, specifications, applicable standards, good construction practices, on schedule, and within budget.
- Determine training needs for supervisors to ensure proper project execution and make recommendations accordingly.
- Degree in E&I Engineering or similar.
- Significant years' experience in a similar role.
- Biotech/Pharma knowledge.
