Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in County Westmeath, Republic of Ireland.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to work safely and effectively within a team. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to production, responding promptly to production machinery breakdowns, and implementing continuous improvements to production machinery performance.

The ideal candidate will have experience and/or qualifications in electro-mechanical maintenance fitting, proven experience in fault-finding and problem-solving in automation systems, and proficiency in PLC programming (Omron, Siemens, and Mitsubishi).

You will also be certified in ABB and Kuka Robot programming, have a strong understanding of automated controls and control systems, and machine safety. Additionally, you will have experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and prior experience in a similar role.
