Job Description:

The role of a Catering Assistant is fundamental to the success of our business.

This position involves delivering exceptional service standards, ensuring seamless food preparation and presentation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout all areas.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and customers.
  • Assist in daily service set-up, food preparation, and serving from our diverse menus.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized environment, including dining and service areas.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and quality control.
  • Follow established protocols for food safety, hygiene, allergens, and storage guidelines.
  • Fill and clean vending machines, record transactions accurately.
  • Inspect deliveries and temperature checks during service periods.
  • Operate the cash register efficiently during service hours and reconcile at the end of each service period.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience in hospitality or food service is an asset but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive can-do attitude.
  • A focus on cleanliness and adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Team-player with a willingness to help others and adapt to changing circumstances.
