Emotional Support Specialist Opportunity
Our organization is seeking a dedicated Counsellor to provide vital emotional support via our 24/7 helpline and contribute to our mission of promoting mental health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver immediate emotional support and guidance through telephone-based counselling services.
- Conduct clinical assessments, risk assessments, and provide appropriate signposting.
- Work in line with ethical guidelines to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Engage in structured video counselling sessions to aid in accreditation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure efficient case management.
- Provide mentoring and apply solution-focused techniques to help callers reach positive outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training and work with complex issues such as trauma and safeguarding.
- Minimum Diploma in Counselling (Level 4) with at least 150 hours of experience.
- 12 months' post-qualification experience and registered member of the relevant professional body.
- High level of computer literacy and familiarity with customer relationship management systems.
- Experience dealing with safeguarding concerns and suicidal ideation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last year or willingness to complete one.
