Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Globalvia Jons Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, KPIs, and continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S).

The successful candidate will have experience in legislative reviews, annual reports, third-party application evaluations, and coordination of depot and external work. You will also facilitate bi-monthly senior management meetings, drive key initiatives in a dynamic environment, and ensure operational excellence and compliance across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct annual reviews of the company's Safety Statement and Construction, Health and Safety Plan and Risk Assessment Register.
2. Review permits for site work and MSRAs to ensure they are fit for purpose.
3. Carry out site inspections and audits for works and operatives' compliance, including but not limited to permits, CSCSs, and inductions.
4. Undertake completion of thorough examinations of vehicles, lifting equipment, and calibration checks of weighbridge and barrier equipment.
5. Lead depot inspections and Safety Meetings in liaison with the Safety Representative/s.
6. Complete accident investigations, including reporting.

Training Compliance
1. Manage training records, toolbox talks, and monthly training planning for the company.
2. Company-wide monitoring and planning of training.

Quality
1. Complete quality submissions to Client.
2. Conduct internal audits and programs.
3. Manage external audits, including but not limited to NSAI and ISO recertification.
4. Facilitate and attend monthly Quality meetings.
5. Complete ISO annual surveillance/recertification audits.

Environmental & Energy
1. Lead Environmental and Energy meetings.
2. Maintain Chemical Register, including reviews and checks as part of site audits.
3. Manage pesticide use, including DAFM Operatives and PCS Numbers.
4. Complete monthly reports, general and energy.
5. Ensure ISO 50001 yearly reviews and KPIs are consistently achieved.
6. Sustainability reporting.

Requirements
1. Full, clean B Driving license essential.
2. Level 8 Degree in Health & Safety with a minimum of 5 years experience.
3. Post-grad education in environmental, energy or sustainability disciplines an advantage.
4. 3 years of operations and maintenance experience - an advantage.
5. Winter maintenance experience an advantage.
6. Traffic management experience an advantage.
7. Excellent communication and IT skills.
