Senior Ophthalmic Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and experienced nurse to lead our ophthalmic team.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide high-quality patient-centered care in the clinic and pre/post procedure suite.
- To oversee nursing staff within a designated unit ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care to all patients.
- To develop nursing staff through training, orientation of new staff, and arranging clinical experience and supervision of student nurses.
- To coordinate, assess, plan, implement, and review care for service users according to relevant standards.
- To liaison with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to manage ophthalmic services from initial consultation to discharge.
- To manage staffing levels, foster staff development, and promote practice development initiatives to enhance nursing team skills and capabilities.
Maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in patient care. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience in ophthalmology or similar field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
