Job Title: Specialist Nursing Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Specialist Nursing Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient-centred care across a range of outpatient specialties.

Your expertise will be utilised to support consultant services, health screening clinics, orthopaedics, and other specialty outpatient services as required. You will collaborate closely with consultants, allied health professionals, administrative staff, and fellow nurses to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality patient care, ensuring smooth patient pathways and assisting with clinical assessments, diagnostics, health promotion, and follow-up care.
  • To develop specialist knowledge in lifestyle medicine while contributing to innovative, evidence-based nursing practice.
  • To collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure good relationships and communication among all members.
  • To act as a preceptor to pre-registration students, mentor new clinical staff, and support colleagues when needed.

In addition, you will identify and discuss nursing/patient needs with consultants/nursing team, multidisciplinary team, patients, and carers; accept responsibility for the holistic care of a named group of patients on a shift basis; maintain high standards of communication; and participate in clinical audit and research activity.

Requirements
  • To be registered in the General Division of the register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.
  • To have relevant post-registration experience, preferably 2 years.
  • To have experience in urology, gynecology, or orthopedics is advantageous.
  • Certified in BLS and IV cannulation skills are desirable.
