Job Description

The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for providing direction, leadership, advice and delivering on-site activities relating to Health and Safety management in collaboration with the site management team. The Health and Safety Manager will ensure the development and promotion of a best-in-class safety culture on site through the implementation of the company health and safety strategy in conjunction with the wider business health and safety team, the site management team, and all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and deliver workplace health and safety policies and procedures across sites.
  2. Contribute to health and safety initiatives within the business to drive a positive safety culture.
  3. Develop creative and innovative solutions and interventions, to support the drive for proactive safety management working closely with colleagues to ensure consistency across sites.
  4. Oversee the delivery of health & safety training including manual handling, first aid and fire warden training.
  5. Advise management on specialist areas such as fire regulations, hazardous substances, working at height, noise, safeguarding machinery, and occupational diseases.
  6. Carry out H&S inspections.
  7. Improve site communication and attend site safety meetings.
  8. Lead accident/incident investigations and produce reports with root cause analysis.
