The Production Planner will be responsible for forecasting efficient and timely production of high-quality vaccines. This critical role requires excellent planning, cross-functional collaboration, and attention to detail in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules aligned with manufacturing goals and customer requirements.
  • Maintain realistic timelines and ensure accuracy across all planning activities.
  • Minimise production downtime and maximise resource efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to balance maintenance windows with production needs.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure necessary resources (materials, personnel, equipment) are in place.
  • Identify and address potential bottlenecks in advance.
  • Track and manage inventory of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods to support production schedules.
  • Proactively identify process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all scheduling-related communications.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of production scheduling experience in a GMP-regulated environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is essential – experience using ERP systems such as SAP or JD Edwards is also essential.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex planning scenarios.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
