As a Construction Project Manager with our client, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex capital projects. Our client is a State Organisation responsible for a large portfolio of properties and is seeking an experienced professional to manage its interests on capital major and minor works and maintenance programmes.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of optimising estate value and delivering best value for money. You will work closely with project stakeholders to monitor the construction programme and cost plan, minimising variations and their impact on the project.
Your duties will include:
- Keeping project stakeholders informed of progress, costs, and other relevant issues.
- Oversight of the tender and contractor/consultant appointment process.
- Chairing and minuting project review meetings.
- Ensuring buildings, services, and equipment under your control are adequately maintained according to approved maintenance programmes.
- Facilitating smooth and timely information flow between all parties to the contract.
- Identifying potential bottlenecks and delays and implementing remedies.
- Agreeing valuations and final accounts for contractors and consultants.
- Monitoring build and material quality.
- Ensuring contractual compliance by contractors and consultants.
- Assisting in front-end design planning and procurement of other projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in construction project management.
- An understanding of current construction contracts and procurement methodologies.
- A proven track record of seeing projects through to successful completion.
- A Level 8 degree in Engineering or Construction.
- A current driving license and vehicle.
