Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bridge Design Engineer to join our team in Dublin. As a key member of our design consultancy, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from concept to completion.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead bridge design projects, ensuring they meet current standards and regulations. This will involve collaborating with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

In addition to your technical expertise, we are looking for someone who is able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels. Your strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure will be essential in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A recognised qualification in Civil / Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience preferably in bridge design environment.
  • Experience in leading bridge design to current Standards, including the Eurocodes and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB).
  • Inspection of bridge assets to industry-standard systems.
  • Production of technical reports.
  • Preparation of specifications and contract documents.
  • Good Project Management experience.
  • Chartered Engineer of a recognised institution.
  • Experience in developing and managing Junior Engineers.
  • FE Modelling experience.
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials.
  • A full clean driving licence.
