We are partnering with a leading company in the medical device industry to find a talented R&D Engineer for an exciting role in product development.
About this Role
As a key member of the cross-functional team, you will play a crucial part in developing innovative solutions for medical interventions. You'll be involved in designing, testing, and improving products while adhering to international standards and regulations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and provide technical input to R&D projects following ISO13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 regulations.
- Lead packaging development and testing for new and existing products.
- Develop, document, and validate test methods and train relevant teams.
- Support manufacturing processes using DFSS and DFM principles.
- Analyse and summarise test data, presenting findings to project leaders.
- Apply Six Sigma and other problem-solving techniques to improve product design.
- Collaborate with the QA department to develop test, verification, and validation procedures.
- Manage documentation, protocols, and reporting for R&D tasks, keeping stakeholders informed.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Biomedical, or a related scientific discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience as an R&D Engineer in the medical device industry.
- Strong knowledge of biomechanics, mechanical design, and analysis.
