We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Reporting Specialist to join our team at Wallace Myers International Recruitment Agency. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective financial reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  2. Reconcile accounts, ensuring proper inventory, cost of goods sold, and production expenses.
  3. Monitor and analyse production costs, identifying areas of inefficiency and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with production teams to track and control manufacturing expenses, optimising resource allocation.
  5. Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  6. Conduct financial analysis to assess investment opportunities or cost-saving measures.
  7. Participate in strategic projects, such as expansions, mergers, or acquisitions, contributing expertise and knowledge to drive success.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. A 3rd level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
  3. Previous experience in financial accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment, is highly valued.
  4. A proven track record of inventory management and cost accounting processes.

  2. Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in reports and reconciliations.
  3. Knowledge of Industry Standards: Understanding of cost accounting specific to food production.

  5. Problem-Solving: Proactively identifies and addresses financial and operational issues.
  6. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
  7. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  8. Team Player: Collaborates across departments and with external partners.
