Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Researcher to spearhead the development of cutting-edge medical devices.

About The Role

This is a pivotal position in our vascular innovation team, where you will lead the design and development of novel Class III medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Device Development: Design, develop, and optimise encapsulated stent systems and advanced delivery mechanisms.
  • Team Leadership: Foster innovation and collaboration among engineers, driving project success.
  • Technical Expertise: Address technical challenges in design, material selection, and manufacturing, ensuring high-quality solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with quality, regulatory, and manufacturing teams to drive projects from concept to commercialisation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet regulatory standards for Class III medical devices.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and product performance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing Class III medical devices, preferably in the vascular space.
  • Specialised Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of stent systems, stent grafts, and delivery systems.
    • Proficiency in shaping, forming, and encapsulating coverings onto stents.
  • Leadership Qualities: Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing design projects.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to address complex technical challenges in design and development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
