About the Role

Methodius Ltd is seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Applications Engineer to join their dynamic and innovative technology company. The successful candidate will become an expert in the complete system, understanding how the whole product works and not being limited to one area of expertise.

The Applications Engineering role is varied between customer interaction, product test, product installation and commissioning, product documentation and training, and product use in some cases for survey work. The engineer will provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with a small dynamic team of engineers on electro mechanical systems integration.
  • Providing customer-facing skills, including installation, set-up, calibration, and customer training.
  • Developing appropriate tests for new products or product enhancements and performing such tests and providing feedback to developers.
  • Analysing data and creating reports based on results and validating corrections to conclusion.

Requirements:

  • 4 years' experience as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer/Technician or similar technical role.
  • Qualification to at least diploma level in a mechanical, electronics or electrical discipline.
  • Experience with prototype building and debug including hardware, electronics, optics, cameras, illumination.
  • Wireless networking/data communication experience.
