Speech and Language Therapist Role

We are seeking a highly motivated senior Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in providing services to children and families within the region.

The post holder will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing speech and language disorders, developing and implementing individualised treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled therapist to make a real difference in the lives of children with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to children aged 0-18 years with physical, sensory, learning disabilities, developmental delay and autism.
  • Work with children in special schools.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to meet the needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Essential Criteria: Be registered as a Speech & Language Therapist by the relevant regulatory body.
  • Have 3 years full-time post qualification clinical experience.
  • Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Post graduate training and experience in Management of FEDS Disorders, relevant post graduate training specific to 0 - 18 years, experience in conducting Assessment of Need, relevant training and experience in the assessment and intervention of children with autism would be desirable.
