Job Title: Software Development Engineering Manager

As a Software Development Engineering Manager, you will lead multiple priorities with bold deadlines and build high-quality enterprise applications. You will partner and collaborate with multi-functional stakeholders to prioritize, plan, and deliver first-rate experiences for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner and collaborate with multi-functional stakeholders to prioritize, plan, and deliver first-rate experiences for customers
  • Drive innovative features for customers in key markets outside the United States
  • Coordinate the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and improvement of high-quality Workday product(s)
  • Engage with colleagues - and with customers - to identify, discuss, debate, and ultimately solve customer issues in increasingly innovative ways
  • Understand and promote industry-standard methodologies
  • Coach and mentor team members to help them be at their best
  • Personify and promote company values such as Employees, Customer Service, Innovation, Integrity, Fun, and Profitability
  • Combine people leadership skills with deep technical expertise to drive business outcomes

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience building and directly managing impactful engineering teams
  • 4+ years of experience developing applications using Cloud-based technologies
  • 5+ years of experience with object-oriented or functional design and programming with Java or Scala
  • Proficient in agile methodologies and accustomed to fast-paced environments
  • Proven track record of coordinating the development and delivery of complex software projects
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience
