Electrical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking talented students to join our Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) team for a few months.

Our team is involved in sectors including healthcare, science & industry, technology, commercial, education, and public buildings. Current projects include the New Surgical Hubs at Cork, Limerick, and Waterford; the New Children's Hospital; the National Maternity Hospital; hyperscale data centres; Project Opera; UCD Teaching and Learning Building; TCD E3 Learning Foundry; and the Crawford Art Gallery redevelopment.

As an electrical engineer at Arup, you will:

  • Work closely with experienced electrical engineers and BIM technicians.
  • Design and calculate electrical services, including distribution, cabling, small power, lighting, emergency lighting, fire detection and alarm systems, ICT, security, and earthing systems.
  • Use Revit and Navisworks in a BIM environment to prepare coordinated 3D design models.
  • Learn and utilize design software such as Revit, Amtech, Dialux, and Elevate.
  • Implement QA procedures for deliverables and ensure H&S compliance.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff from other disciplines.
  • Communicate effectively within a team environment.
