Director of Cyber Security Strategy

This is a critical leadership role that requires the ability to drive and implement technical security strategies across the organization.

  • The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of cyber security standards, playbooks, and procedures.
  • They will oversee the architecture and design of the SOC, ensuring it is aligned with business objectives.
  • They will analyze and improve the security posture of the organization, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • They will be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and implementing new security tools and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and mentor a team of technical security professionals.
  • Define and implement incident response playbooks.
  • Own and drive the architecture and design of the SOC.
  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of mitigating advanced threat actors and nation-state threats.
  • Expert technical understanding of SOCs from the ground up.
  • In-depth knowledge of security architecture and design, including logging, firewalls, network segmentation, and honeypots.
  • Ability to define, implement, automate, and measure effective incident response playbooks.
  • Knowledge of security risk management frameworks such as NIST CSF.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience contributing to and consuming threat intelligence feeds.
  • Leadership and management ability.
  • Excellent business English writing and presentation skills.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cyber security principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. They must be able to motivate and inspire a team of technical professionals to achieve business objectives.
