Cpl Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Nursing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to our residents.

As a Geriatric Nursing Specialist, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our nursing home, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with at least three years' experience working with older adults. You will also possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective care plans
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, staff, and families
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to residents
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing home
Requirements
  • Current NMBI registration
  • Minimum three years' experience nursing older people in the last six years
  • Three years' experience in a management capacity with a post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Team player with leadership qualities and an in-depth knowledge of the ageing process
  • Genuine interest in working with our residents
  • Certification of Garda Vetting Unit clearance
  • Working knowledge of Health Act 2007, regulations and standards pertaining to same
