Job Description

Cpl Healthcare is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the production of weekly, monthly and statutory accounts for a number of cost centres and legal entities. The ideal candidate will ensure taxation and statutory reporting requirements are processed on time.

Main Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Financial Accountant and Finance Team to maintain accurate and timely sales ledger, purchase ledger and journal processing;
• Conduct analytical review versus budget and last year's figures;
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve queries efficiently;
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with accepted policies and procedures;
• Process PAYE Returns, VAT Returns, VIES Returns, Diesel Rebate Claim, Customs TAN Account Reconciliation and Intercompany Transactions;
• Ensure accurate and efficient intercompany recording and recharge process;

Requirements:
• Ability to work accurately as part of a team and take direction;
• Analytical thinker and problem solver;
• Proficient IT skills, particularly spreadsheet software;
• High level of accuracy;
• Extremely organised;
• Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information;
• Administrative skills;
• Previous experience of general accounting;
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software, ideally Pegasus;
• Qualification: AAT or Level 5 and Level 6 Business Administration, book-keeping and finance or Work Experience Equivalent;
• Studying or interested in studying for an accounting technician or accounting qualification.
