Our client, a reputable public sector company in Dublin, is seeking a finance professional to join their team. This permanent role offers a competitive salary package and hybrid working arrangements.
The Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze periodic Balance Sheet, Working Capital & Cashflow reports for internal and external use
2. Develop new reports across all sections of the Balance Sheets as required
3. Create budgets, forecasts & 5 Year Plans as needed each year
4. Complete financial year end tasks
5. Liaise with Auditors both Internal & External in response to Audit queries and implementation of recommendations
6. Ensure effective internal controls operate within the business unit
7. Review and update documentation associated with control processes & procedures
8. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency, streamline workflows and controls
9. Respond to queries from both external and internal stakeholders
10. Oversee implementation of Management Actions in response to Audit recommendations
11. Engage and contribute to design, planning and user acceptance testing (UAT) of new systems as required
12. Provide information in accordance with the agreed reporting calendar
13. Manage Fixed Assets, Stock, Debtors & Creditors, Provision Accounts
14. Periodic reconciliation of Balance Sheet Items including Trade Creditor, GR/IR & Intercompany Balances & Supplier Advanced Payments
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate with a Professional Accounting Qualification and minimum 7 years PQE experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills, specifically SAP (FI, CO, MM, PS), and proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel. A proven track record in preparing high quality, timely and consistent financial reports for internal and external use is essential.
