This rewarding position is available in Newtown, where you will join our team of qualified professionals who share your commitment to enabling children and adults with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or a relevant qualification, or be eligible for CORU registration.
- Experience working with adults/children with intellectual disabilities.
- Strong initiative and ability to supervise service users/staff in a residential setting.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- A full manual driving license.
In this challenging yet fulfilling role, you will:
- Evaluate and address service user needs through tailored support plans.
- Teach daily living and social skills through engaging activities that promote independence.
- Foster positive relationships with service users, encouraging their personal growth and development.
- Engage in household tasks and activities that support service users' well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of service user documentation, ensuring seamless communication between teams.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality services that meet the unique needs of each individual.
