Ecologist Consultant

A mid-level ecologist is required to join our team in Ireland. As a senior ecologist, you will be responsible for leading ecology surveys, including habitat and protected species surveys.

You will also prepare tenders and ecological deliverables, such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, EIAR chapters, and Appropriate Assessment reports.

Your role will involve client liaison, project management, consultation, and negotiation with regulators and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and undertake ecology surveys
  • Prepare tenders and ecological deliverables
  • Client liaison and project management
  • Consultation and negotiation with regulators and stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • An appropriate academic qualification in ecology or a related field
  • Experience across a range of Irish habitats
  • Experience with securing derogation licenses from the National Parks and Wildlife Service
  • Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities
