The Bioprocess Scientist plays a vital role in supporting the introduction and implementation of advanced downstream manufacturing processes at our next-generation bioprocessing site in Limerick. This position requires expertise in downstream bioprocessing, data-driven decision making, and problem-solving skills.
">Key Responsibilities:- Science and Technical Expertise: The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the science of downstream bioprocesses, including molecule-specific control strategies and basis of specifications and critical attributes.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: As part of a cross-functional team, the Bioprocess Scientist will work closely with quality assurance, operations, and engineering to bring technical expertise and scientific rigor to the team.
- Data Analysis: Utilize process monitoring tools to make informed decisions and ensure process consistency and robustness.
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate scientific reports and technical documentation, as well as contribute to authorship and review of regulatory submissions and responses to regulatory agencies.
Educational Requirements: A BSc or MSc in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering or related discipline is required, along with relevant experience (greater than 2 years within the biopharmaceutical industry).
