Job Title: Civil Resident Engineer – Water

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Civil Resident Engineer to join our team in delivering new and upgrade water network improvements in the North Dublin/Fingal area.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. We are seeking someone who can work alongside Regional Contractors to ensure projects are delivered in compliance with the Contract and legislation.
  2. Liaising with Local Authorities is also a key part of this role, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  3. The successful candidate will carry out HSQE audits and manage HSQE issues, processing work orders as required.
  4. Approving Service Requests and updating trackers are essential tasks within this role.
  5. Reviewing and approving as laid drawings is another critical responsibility.
  6. A collaborative approach is necessary when working with IW Design Engineers to provide clarity for project delivery.
  7. Complaints will need to be handled professionally, providing feedback to Regional Leads and IW as necessary.
  8. Attending and managing meetings with Regional Contractors and IW requires strong organisational skills.
  9. Maintaining records and creating lists of snags are essential aspects of this role.
  10. Visiting sites before works commence, anticipating potential problems and feeding back findings to IW Design Engineers, is also a key responsibility.
Requirements

To succeed in this challenging role, you will require:

  1. At least 5 years' satisfactory post-graduate experience in on-site supervision, site engineering of civil engineering works, including water projects.
  2. A degree in a related discipline, such as Civil Engineering.
  3. Strong writing and record-keeping skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  4. Extensive knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
  5. A current and valid SafePass card is essential, with Confined Spaces training desirable.
