Purpose of the Role: This post is designed to develop your skills and knowledge as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in paediatric wound care. Under the direction of the Health Care Providers Advanced Practice Stakeholder Governance Group, you will work to enable individual nurses to meet the NMBI criteria for registration as a Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RANP).
The post holder will undertake academic preparation and develop clinical and leadership skills, competencies, and knowledge required to meet the RANP registration criteria with NMBI. The scope of the ANP role must reflect incremental development of expertise, meaning the ANP cannot deliver care as an autonomous practitioner.
Essential Criteria:
- Eligible applicants must be registered in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Register or eligible to register by meeting the criteria for registration as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
- Applicants must have a broad base of clinical experience (minimum 3 years) relevant to the advanced field of practice in paediatric wound care in an acute setting.
