Electrical Engineer Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and executing electrical assembly and wiring tasks from design specifications.
  • Communicating effectively with project teams to ensure the quality of the electrical build.
  • Managing timelines for machine builds to meet project milestones and targets.
  • Inspecting incoming electrical parts and supplier components for quality and compliance.
  • SITE COMMISSIONING AND HANDOVER OF FINISHED MACHINES.
  • Planning and prioritising work across multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborating with multi-discipline teams to achieve project and business goals.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department and the wider business.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for completing project milestones.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Level 6 in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in machine building with a strong focus on electrical work. Senior candidates are encouraged to apply due to business growth.
  • Skills:
    - Ability to interpret and work from electrical drawings.
    - Strong creative problem-solving skills for electrical work.
    - High level of electrical craft skill, with the ability to wire and set up machines to fine tolerances.
    - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
    - Proficiency with MS Office; experience with electrical CAD software is a plus.
