At the forefront of medical device innovation, a Tooling Specialist is sought to drive the design and development of a cutting-edge drug delivery system in Dublin, Ireland.

This exciting opportunity calls for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in tooling development, preferably in medical device manufacturing or other highly regulated sectors.

  • Lead technical development and introduction of injection mould tooling for new product launches, leveraging expertise in multi-cavity injection mould tools and hot runner systems.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and external vendors, to ensure seamless tooling design, build, and validation phases.
  • Provide input on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) during product development, optimizing tooling and manufacturing processes.
  • Support risk assessments, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and feasibility studies related to tooling.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies for multi-cavity tooling, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced costs.

Key qualifications include:

  • Hands-on experience with multi-cavity injection mould tools and hot runner systems.
  • Proven involvement in new product introduction (NPI) and tooling lifecycle management.
  • Background in tooling design, validation, and cost estimation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
