Job Opportunity: Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the overall quality assurance and testing effort of products.
  • Engage in requirements analysis and develop test plans for new projects and updates.
  • Collaborate with the development team to estimate test effort and refine user stories for sprint planning.
  • Develop test cases, perform manual testing, and create comprehensive bug reports.
  • Design and run automated test cases, record test results, and verify bug fixes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3rd level IT qualification with 2-3 years experience minimum with web-based software testing or firmware testing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies, QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Proven diagnostic and debugging skills, good test software development skills, and familiarity with languages such as Java, Python, HTML5, PHP.
  • Experience with test automation tools like Selenium and Protractor, Agile/SCRUM software development practices and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills required, both written and oral, proficiency in SQL, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with defect tracking systems like Trac, Bugzilla, Test Director.
