As an Apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician, you will gain hands-on experience in the repair and servicing of motor vehicles, as well as detecting and diagnosing any additional faults that require further repairs. You will be expected to ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with manufacturers' and industry guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles
- Detect and diagnose additional faults requiring further repairs
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in motor vehicles and possess a minimum grade achieved in English, Maths and a Science-based subject. They will be enthusiastic, committed and confident with an analytical and methodical way of thinking, and demonstrate a high regard for customer care and professionalism.
The apprenticeship system is a modular, standards-based system comprising seven alternating phases of training and development: four on-the-job and three off-the-job phases. Upon successful completion, the candidate will receive a FETAC/QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft, recognised both nationally and internationally.
