Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Electrical Controls Specialist to join our Power Generation and Energy Systems team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging electrical control systems and instrumentation projects, driving the reliability, availability, and efficiency of the energy network.

The successful candidate will have experience with designing electrical control systems, developing detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation, and overseeing the installation of control systems and instrumentation equipment.

In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with technicians and contractors, and ensuring proper implementation of control systems and instrumentation.

This position offers flexibility in location and can be based near our office locations: Cork or Dublin. The role is offered as a full-time staff position, with an excellent Salary and Benefits package.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in electrical or automation engineering.
  • PLC Programming Experience: Siemens/ Allen-Bradley/ Schneider.
  • HMI / SCADA Experience: Siemens / Rockwell/ AVEVA / Schneider.
  • Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
  • Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
