- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in software development.
- 8+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
We are seeking a talented Software Defined Network Engineer to join our team. As a member of our engineering team, you will work on designing, implementing and qualifying control plane networking features. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-impact project that will shape the future of software defined networks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in designing and implementing complex systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities- Design and implement control plane systems for Google's Global Network Edge (GNE).
- Develop software architecture evolution, admission control, bandwidth enforcement, network programming coordination and management.
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to deploy and maintain our software-defined Edge network.
