The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of all operational activities, leading a team of approximately 15-20 employees to drive improvements and maintain high standards at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate production schedules to ensure timely delivery and effective operations.
  • Supervise and oversee personnel across various departments within the company.
  • Organise and prioritise workflows to ensure machine completion on time for customers.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and encourage ongoing professional development.
  • Act as the main point of contact, facilitating communication and co-ordination between all departments within the company.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety guidelines, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations to improve performance, reduce downtime, and enhance productivity.
  • Implement opportunities for greater operational efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage relationships with subcontractors to ensure smooth operation and project completion.
  • Manage the logistics and shipping of machines, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Oversee and manage maintenance schedules and activities to ensure all machinery are in optimal working condition for production.
  • Address and resolve any operational challenges that might affect project timelines or quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all standards and internal quality control procedures.

Person Specification:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in operations management, particularly in an engineering industry.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvements.
