Language Specialist Opportunity

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled linguist to contribute to the development of AI-powered communication tools. As a language specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of language-based technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of language structure, syntax, and semantics, as well as excellent communication skills. Experience with language research or working in tech/NLP is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities
  1. Review and evaluate content created by AI models to ensure it's natural, accurate, and useful in your language.
  2. Collaborate with linguists across different languages to share feedback and suggest improvements.
  3. Identify language patterns and help guide how our models respond to users.
  4. Create clear, language-specific instructions and evaluation guides.
  5. Review and validate the quality of data used to train and assess AI performance.
  6. Help maintain consistency and trust in evaluations by checking samples for quality and accuracy.
  7. Contribute to meaningful improvements in how AI understands and uses your language.
Requirements
  • A degree in Linguistics or a related field (Master's or PhD is a plus).
  • Native-level fluency in German or Italian, with deep understanding of grammar, tone, and cultural context.
  • A keen eye for detail and a love for language structure, syntax, and semantics.
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Ability to think critically and spot patterns or inconsistencies in language use.
