">We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at St. James Hospital, providing expert nursing care in Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT).
">The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in specialist oncology care, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality patient-centered services.
">Key Responsibilities:
">• Provide specialist nursing knowledge and skills to patients receiving SACT in both inpatient and outpatient settings
">• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery
">• Participate in nurse-led clinics, research, audit, and education initiatives
">• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines
">Required Qualifications and Experience:
">• Be a Registered Nurse/Midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
">• Possess a minimum of 1 year post-registration full-time experience or an aggregate of 1 year full-time experience in the division of the register
">• Have a minimum of 1 year experience in specialist area of SACT care
">• Hold a Level 9 or higher award from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) or equivalent
">• Demonstrate continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the specialist area
">• Exhibit excellent keyboard skills and I.T. proficiency
">• Possess leadership, managerial, and administrative capacity for the proper discharge of duties
">Desired Skills and Qualifications:
">• Nurse Prescribing Registration or willingness to undertake within an agreed timeframe
">• Working knowledge of healthcare patient record systems
">• Competency in SACT administration
">• Experience in PICC line insertion
