Job Title: Music Therapy Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Music Therapist to provide parental leave cover. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Music Therapy Clinic.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage referrals, scheduling, administration, and service coordination for the Music Therapy Clinic.
  • Conduct client assessments and develop individualised treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions using appropriate clinical and musical approaches.
  • Maintain accurate records, evaluate outcomes, and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Liaise and collaborate with colleagues, educators, healthcare professionals, and caregivers.
  • Plan and deliver workshops for staff, students, and external partners as required.
  • Undertake outreach work in day facilities or other community settings when appropriate.
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards, including confidentiality and safeguarding policies.
  • Engage in continuing professional development and supervision.

This position requires 7.5 secured clinic contact hours per week, with the possibility of additional external hours on approval. As part of this role, you may be required to teach on Saturdays and after 3 pm on weekdays due to the institution's flexible teaching schedule.
