Job Description:

">What we are looking for is an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all relevant laws and regulations related to health, safety and the environment. This includes developing and implementing EHS programs, conducting risk assessments, managing contractors, investigating incidents, responding to emergencies, managing chemicals, waste and water, as well as providing technical guidance on ergonomics, bio risk, equipment and machine safety, industrial hygiene and high risk work.">

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

">1. Develop and implement EHS programs to ensure compliance with local legislation, standards and industry best practices.
2. Conduct risk assessments and manage contractors to minimize risks to employees, the community and the environment.
3. Investigate incidents and respond to emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
4. Manage chemicals, waste and water to prevent pollution and ensure compliance with regulations.
5. Provide technical guidance on ergonomics, bio risk, equipment and machine safety, industrial hygiene and high risk work to employees and management.
6. Prepare reports to site, divisional and corporate management and regulatory agencies to ensure transparency and accountability.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">We are looking for someone with a strong background in environmental health and safety who has experience in developing and implementing EHS programs. The ideal candidate will have a Technical Bachelor Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a Technical Bachelor's Degree (Science/Engineering). Post-grad EHS qualification would be a plus. Ideally 3+ years' EHS experience in Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry.">
