A Quantitative Trader plays a pivotal role in the success of an organization by leveraging cutting-edge technology to make data-driven investment decisions. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential losses and maximize returns on investment.
  • Trading Strategies: Design and execute high-performance trading strategies that drive revenue growth and meet organizational objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations, compliance, brokers, and custodians to ensure seamless execution of trades and mitigate risks.
  • Algorithmic Trading: Build, operate, and improve algorithmic trading strategies deployed on electronic trading venues and RFQ platforms.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with issuers, other trading partners, and software engineers to enhance and develop trading strategies.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in a trading support role or similar at a financial institution.
  • Excellent academic background; quantitative disciplines preferred.
  • Bond experience required; knowledge of pricing, settling, and clearing Fixed Income; ETF knowledge a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and internal teams.
  • Technical proficiency in SQL and Python; prior experience in these or other programming languages.
  • Proactive problem-solver who identifies issues and creates solutions without rigid direction.
  • Highly motivated, tenacious, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Team player with collaborative mindset toward shared goals.
