Product Quality Director

A key leadership role at Allergan, focusing on the overall quality of pharmaceutical products. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of AbbVie's products, which include small molecule pharmaceuticals, biologics, and combination products. This involves developing and implementing global product quality assurance strategies to support the manufacture of these products at AbbVie plants or third-party manufacturing facilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global strategies related to product complaints management and stability assessment for all products globally
- Lead a team of quality professionals responsible for assigned products and/or business processes required for on-market product support
- Ensure alignment of Quality and Technical Agreements with legal contracts, and negotiate quality and technical agreements as a representative of AbbVie
- Review and approve plant Quality Assurance performance reports and financial plans
- Direct quality assurance initiatives for global sourcing projects
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Life Science or other technical discipline
- 15+ years of combined relevant experience, including at least 2 years in plant operations and 5 years in Operations, Research and Development, or Technical experience
- Expert knowledge of biological and/or pharmaceutical technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to direct effective action plans
