Dairy Farm Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team. As a key member of the farm staff, you will be responsible for assisting with daily milking operations and supporting the overall smooth running of the dairy farm.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Milking Operations: Assist with morning and evening milking sessions, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and hygiene practices.
  • Cow Health and Welfare: Monitor cow health, identifying any issues or concerns, and take appropriate action to prevent illness or injury.
  • Farm Maintenance: Participate in routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment, repairing fences, and performing general repairs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of milk production, cow health, and other relevant farm data.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a dairy farming environment, preferably with milking experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or training in dairy farming, animal husbandry, or a related field would be advantageous.
