Job Description

The Senior Supply Chain Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity of supplies for Commercial API, Britestock, and Finished Goods within Global Logistics. Key responsibilities include coordinating logistics activities, fostering communication with supply chain groups and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), analyzing inventory, managing exceptions, and monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

This position offers opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across various functions, including CMOs, freight forwarders, and warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage logistics processes related to contract setup, material control, inventory, and shipping/receiving to support business objectives.
  • Prioritize tasks, plan daily activities, and coordinate the movement of materials while maintaining relationships with CMO sites and internal stakeholders.
  • Implement and refine supply chain policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with Good Practices (GXP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
  • Identify and execute logistics initiatives to meet departmental and company targets.
  • Analyze systems and processes to develop tools that promote operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, using performance metrics to drive improvements in safety, quality, service, and cost.
  • Support the development of new technologies and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of ERP systems and business process architecture.
  • Serve as a mentor and provide training and guidance to team members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Extensive experience in supply chain management or a related field, with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Experience working in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or chemical manufacturing industries.

- Knowledge of transportation logistics, GMP/GXP standards, and regulatory compliance.

- Familiarity with planning systems, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools.

- Six Sigma or Lean certification is preferred.

- Management or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
