Leads in Pharmacy Department
About the RoleThis is a leadership position that involves providing direction and vision for pharmaceutical services.
A successful candidate will have a high level of expertise in pharmacy practice and be able to lead teams effectively.
The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to analyze complex information and make sound judgments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient safety and care quality
- Maintain awareness of current developments in pharmacy practice and apply this knowledge to service delivery
- Lead a team of pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide expert advice on medicines management
- Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines for optimal patient care
- Monitor and evaluate medication use processes to optimize them
- Registered pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or entitled to be so registered
- At least three years satisfactory post-registration hospital experience
- High standard of suitability and management ability
